apple pie and rugalach

last weekend, mom and dad visited. both are fruit lovers, so we loaded up on apples from the korean store and i baked them an apple pie! the recipe called for sprinkled cinnamon on top, before going in the oven. however, the oven burned the cinnamon, so note: do not put cinnamon on before placing a pie in the oven. with the leftover dough, i made rugalach, but without the cream cheese that is usually used in rugalach dough. both aesthetically unappealing, yet tasty.
